I had a variety of fresh vegetables that needed using up as we aren’t going to be home for a few dinners coming up. I didn’t use a special recipe but just cooked each thing individually with some seasonings and herbs. However, the way to transform a standard meat and vegetables meal is simply in the presentation. Adding height and shape to your dish can really make a difference and food really can be it’s own form of art. My husband really enjoys it when meals look good as well as taste good, so I often make an effort to stylise a dish even when its just the two of us. Tonight’s meal features venison, mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, kumara and pumpkin.
